Spotlight On: Groomed for Murder
This week we highlight “Groomed for Murder,” a Competitive Dog Show themed murder mystery with a bark that matches its bite!
The moment has arrived—the thousands of entrants at the prestigious Eastmunster Kennel Dog Show have been narrowed down to seven lucky canines. They and their handlers are nervously waiting for the Head Judge to arrive and determine which dog is the “Best in Show.” The Announcer introduces the Judge. She does not appear. The Announcer tries again. Silence. Suddenly, a minor official runs screaming into the ring. “Dead! She’s dead! Someone has killed Ada Glover!”
All of our murder mystery parties are designed to be played by 4-20 people. ALL 20 roles have full motives and ANY of the characters could be the murderer. You can also play with more than 20 players by adding guests as “detectives” who participate by asking questions each round and guessing who the killer is at the end.
In the middle of all the chaos at the show, the crowd is left to wonder whodunit. Was it one of the finalists, scared of how the Judge would assess their precious pooch? Was it someone who was passed over for a place in the finals? Was it one of the dog fanciers in the audience?
There's only one way to find out who committed this canine caper: play the murder mystery party game "Groomed for Murder!"
But hold onto your doggie bags - the killer could be YOU!
Our games are meant to be played at home or via Zoom (or other video chat apps) and self-hosted. We do also offer our hosting party packages for groups that prefer a full-service murder mystery experience. You can learn more and submit a party request HERE.
